WEBMASTER/WEBSITE DEVELOPER

The WEBMASTER manages the design, programming, development and management of all interactive/web projects for the agency and its clients, and works closely with all client and production teams.  This person should be skilled at creating interactive websites that are functional, dynamic, effective, and capable of maintaining the brand image and achieving the strategic goals/objectives of clients. The webmaster should understand user experience as an element in all interactive/web design projects.

The webmaster should have extensive knowledge of and experience in typographic, identity, web information and interactive design.  A minimum of three years experience with web technologies such as:  HTML, Javascript, CSS, ASP, SQL MYySQL Server, CGI, WordPress, and XML development, is required.  This person should also have extensive experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues.  Knowledge of database management systems, firewalls, and other network/server security issues, as well as web-based electronic software are required..

 

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Ad Word Management, Google Analytics, Content Management.
  • Knowledge and experience with website design, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, database development, relational database design, and database protocols. Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.
  • Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.
  • Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
  • Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written communications skills.
  • Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred.   Four years prior experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer.
  • Must be creative and quickly develop ideas
  • Must have strong computer capabilities and be familiar with MAC computer environment, file types and MS Word
  • Experience with web-networking (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.) is a plus
  • Must have superior knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading
  • Demonstrated project management skills, experience Function Point Agency Management system a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Portfolio of creative work
