team and your Board (and Committee) members review and
discuss core values and where you want the credit union
to be in the next 3 to 5 years (vision). At the end, everyone
knows the plan and how you will get there.
How will it benefit my credit union?
Besides creating a roadmap of strategies and tactics for
meeting goals, there are other benefits to strategic
planning. If you have new management or new Board members,
it helps to unify the group and clarify responsibilities.
With a mature Board, the session opens up the communication
to industry information, creative ideas, and possible
solutions that may not be discussed at regular management
or Board meetings.
